There are currently 40.3 million victims of modern slavery worldwide, 71% of whom are women and girls (8.7 Alliance 2017 Report).  On a global scale, 35% of women experience some form of physical or sexual violence in their lifetime but in the developing world, that figure may increase to as high as 70%. Most of these cases are never reported to authorities and most survivors of gender based violence and sex trafficking harbor the stigma of their abuse in pain, shame and silence.  We need your support to seek justice for these survivors, to amplify their voices and to provide rehabilitation, education and community transformation. Please consider donating your resources, time or services.  Your tax deductible donation can help rescue one and create a path for many.  Click here to learn more about how your contribution will support our programs.

packageVia our ‘Hearts of Hope’ Project, Pathfinders is also currently fundraising to address the humanitarian crisis in Nigeria by assisting survivors of the Boko Haram insurgency.  Most have endured the agony of witnessing their parents, husbands and/or children slaughtered, trafficking, repeated rape, torture, stonings, starvation, disease, forced labor and forced marriages.  Others are pregnant and/or HIV+ and were rescued with only the clothes on their backs. Many are displaced throughout various internally displaced persons (IDP) Camps in Nigeria, including the non-government ICCF Missions Camp located in Benin City, Edo State, which currently hosts 2,000+ IDPs. With your assistance, we are providing UNFPA style “dignity kits” which contain basic hygiene items and other assistance to these women and girls.  Any and all financial donations are welcomed, with 100% of all proceeds directed to the Project.  Kindly indicate that your donation is to be allocated to the “Hearts of Hope-Survivors’ Project” when you donate or by emailing us your donation details at  Donations can also be mailed to Pathfinders Justice Initiative, Inc., P.O.Box 590, New York, New York 10038.  In Nigeria, donations can be made directly to our Pathfinders Justice Initiative account at Guaranty Trust Bank, Account No. 0164719490.

Pathfinders Justice Initiative, Inc.® is a New York 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization (tax ID number 46-5601806) as well as a non-government organization (NGO) registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria (RC No. 70798). From Pathfinders and on behalf of the courageous survivors we serve, thank you!
