Pathfinders Conducts Life Skills Training for ‘Project Restore’ Beneficiaries

BENIN CITY, EDO STATE- Pathfinders’ ‘Project Restore’ recently organised a life skills training on communication and on cultivating the habit of commitment and self-discipline for 37 project beneficiaries.

During the training on communication, the participants learned about the transformative power of their voices. They were encouraged to speak up and to exchange information, knowledge, and ideas, leading to informed decision-making and problem-solving. They also participated in a practical session, trying out their communication and active listening skills by first arguing for their own opinion regarding a statement and then swapping opinions with the other participants. To conclude the session, the trainer explained how commitment and self-discipline translate into the willingness to invest time, effort and resources to reach a goal or maintain an enduring relationship. It was stressed to the beneficiaries that doing so was crucial for personal relationships, professional endeavors and for achieving long-term success.

At the end of the training, all beneficiaries receive a transport stipend and refreshments.

Restore Project‘ is funded by a grant from the United States Department of State, to which we are grateful. The opinions, findings and conclusions presented are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Department of State.
