‘The Freedom Project’ Conducts Final Medical Outreach for 40 Beneficiaries

BENIN CITY, EDO STATE. As part of ‘The Freedom Project,’ 40 beneficiaries received medical assistance on September 19, 2023 via a medical outreach specifically tailored to the needs of survivors. This final outreach included seminars and medical tests focused on wellness and the prevention of illness to provide all beneficiaries with the opportunity to take steps towards a healthier lifestyle. With the support of medical doctors from the Association of Resident Doctors in Benin City, the training sessions covered sexual health and family planning, fitness and exercise, food and nutrition, self-care and wellness wheel, personal hygiene, oral health, and breast self-examinations. Beneficiaries also received screenings for their eyes, blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index and oral health. Finally, a question-and-answer session allowed them to clarify their medical concerns.

All beneficiaries were provided with refreshments and a transportation stipend at the close of the outreach.
