PJI Equips Project Restore Beneficiaries with Life Skills for Confidence and Resilience

April 17, 2026

On April 16, 2026, 118 Project Restore (Year 3) survivors received life skills training on overcoming fear, doubt, and imposter syndrome.

Facilitated by one of our skilled PJI trainers, the session created a safe, supportive space for participants to reflect on their experiences and learn practical ways to overcome self-doubt, build confidence and embrace their potential. Through interactive discussions and shared stories, the survivors examined how fear and imposter syndrome can hinder personal growth and explored strategies for developing a healthier, more confident mindset.

A lively question-and-answer session allowed participants to discuss concerns about insecurity, motivation, and navigating life’s challenges. The practical guidance shared encouraged them to view their past as part of their story, not as the limit of their future.

Barrister Rantiade Benson-Idahosa, PJI’s Executive Director, also encouraged participants to look beyond their difficult experiences and focus on the opportunities ahead. She reminded them that healing, growth, and independence are possible, and that each woman has the strength, with courage, to create a brighter future.

All participants received network airtime to support continued communication and engagement as well as transportation fare and refreshment to support attendance.

Project Restore is funded by a grant from United States Department of State, to which we are grateful. The opinions, findings, and conclusions presented are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Department of State.  To support our work, please email info@pathfindersji.org.
