Pathfinders’ R. Evon Idahosa Retained as Consultant to UN at Human Rights Council Session 2018

June 21, 2018- At the 38th United Nations’ Human Rights Council Session, which commenced at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland on June 18, 2018,  Pathfinders’ R. Evon Idahosa served as a consultant to the United Nations’ Special Rapporteur on Trafficking, participating in a side event relating to the global trafficking of women and girls, a phenomenon which affects 71% of the 40 million people trapped in modern day slavery.  Also speaking at the event were representatives from International Organization for Migration, MSF (Doctors Without Borders), NGOs Caritas and Be Free, a labour trafficking survivor and several other organizations.  The Human Rights Council Session comes to a close on July 6, 2018.
