On June 15–19, 2026, we organized a weeklong wellness programme for 210 Project Restore (Years 2 and 3) beneficiaries, reinforcing our commitment to supporting survivors’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The programme combined physical fitness activities with guided mindfulness and mental wellness sessions designed to reduce stress, build resilience and promote healthy living. Participants arrived each day with enthusiasm, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere that encouraged active participation.
Each day began with stretching exercises and aerobics to improve flexibility, release tension and boost energy levels. This was followed by guided meditation sessions facilitated by one of our trained counselors, who had previously provided individual counseling to many of the participants. Through deep breathing, calming background music, and mindfulness exercises, beneficiaries were encouraged to relax, remain present, connect to their bodies and strengthen their emotional well-being.
The programme concluded each day with group therapy circles, providing a safe and supportive space for participants to share their experiences, reflect on their journeys and encourage one another.
To ensure comfort throughout the programme, every beneficiary received a sports kit comprising a two-piece sportswear and a pair of sports shoes, lunch and transport fare after the session.
Project Restore is funded by a grant from the United States Department of State, to which we are grateful. The opinions, findings, and conclusions presented are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Department of State.
