BENIN CITY, EDO STATE. On February 20, 2026, 61 of our beneficiaries supported by Project Restore (Year 3) participated in two engaging life skills training sessions focusing on Critical Thinking and Decision Making and Personal Hygiene.
The Critical Thinking and Decision-Making session encouraged participants to reflect on how they make choices in their daily lives. The discussion was highly interactive, with many beneficiaries asking questions about decision making in relationships and family life. The session provided practical guidance on thinking through situations carefully and making informed, healthy choices.
The Personal Hygiene training focused on everyday hygiene practices that support health and wellbeing. Many participants particularly appreciated the discussion on menstrual hygiene, where they gained valuable knowledge and felt comfortable asking questions and sharing experiences.
Following the training, participants also engaged in conversations on human trafficking awareness, discussing how trafficking affects individuals and communities. At the end of the session, beneficiaries took an anti-trafficking pledge, committing to be the eyes and voices against trafficking in their respective communities.
Overall, the sessions were interactive and beneficial, creating an opportunity for learning and open discussion. To support participation, beneficiaries were also provided with transportation stipends and refreshments.
