BENIN CITY, EDO STATE. On March 10, 2026, PJI, in collaboration with the Edo State Legal Hub, organized a life skills training which focused on dispute resolution for 131 of our Project Restore (Year 3) beneficiaries. The session began with an introduction to the services offered by the Edo State Legal Hub, i.e., informing participants of the Hub’s availability to provide legal guidance and support to beneficiaries if and when they encounter disputes.
Following the introduction, the facilitators led a practical discussion on peaceful ways to resolve conflicts, emphasizing dialogue, understanding one’s rights, and seeking appropriate legal support when necessary.
The training was interactive, and during the question-and-answer session, beneficiaries raised several practical concerns. Many asked questions related to land and property assets, while others sought clarification on child custody matters and the legal processes involved.
Overall, the session provided valuable information and helped participants become more aware of practical approaches to dispute resolution and the legal support services available to them.
Project Restore is funded by a grant from United States Department of State, to which we are grateful. The opinions, findings, and conclusions presented are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Department of State.
