Pathfinders Memorializes Partnership with NAPTIP

NOVEMBER 6, 2019- ABUJA, NIGERIA. Pathfinders is pleased to announce the formal memorialization of what has been an ongoing partnership with Nigeria’s anti-trafficking agency, NAPTIP.  As agreed in the resulting Memorandum of Understanding, the parties will join forces to tackle human trafficking in Nigeria by collaborating on the prevention and reduction of sexual exploitation of  women and girls and the support of women victims of sexual exploitation.  To this end, Pathfinders will provide rehabilitative services to women trafficking survivors referred by NAPTIP and will assist in their education, vocational training and shelter.  Pathfinders will further provide legal advocacy and representation to survivors and serve as a volunteer consultant to NAPTIP on the review and drafting of anti-trafficking legislation.  The parties further agreed to organize and participate in public awareness events and campaigns to address the scourge of human trafficking in Nigeria.
