Pathfinders Conducts Medical Outreach for UN’s OHCHR Beneficiaries

NOVEMBER 30th, 2022- BENIN CITY, EDO. Continuing our efforts to provide holistic support to our beneficiaries, we conducted a medical outreach for 30 beneficiaries of our Pathway to Freedom Project on November 30, 2022. Collaborating with a team of medical doctors from the Association of Resident Doctors at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) in Benin City, sessions were conducted on sexual health, maternal childcare, family planning, oral health and on performing a breast self-examination. Additionally, screenings were conducted for blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index, and oral health. Beneficiaries were also afforded the opportunity to engage with the practitioners during a question-and-answer session on matters that were of a personal nature or on which they needed further clarity.

All beneficiaries were provided transportation stipends at the close of the outreach.

The Pathway to Freedom (3) project is funded by a grant from the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, for which we are grateful.
