Courtesy Visits to Community Leaders: Strengthening Partnerships for Project Restore, Year 2

Year 2 of Project Restore is a community-driven initiative that aims to rehabilitate and revitalize female survivors of trafficking impacted by various challenges, such as economic hardship and lack of access to basic services. The project seeks to empower communities and create alternative economic pathways for trafficking survivors. However, achieving these goals requires the active involvement and support of local leaders who deeply understand their community’s needs and challenges. To ensure the success and sustainability of Project Restore (Year 2), courtesy visits were recently paid to community leaders in Egor, Ikpoba Okha, and Orhiomwon where the project is being scaled and implemented. These visits represent a part of a larger initiative to foster cooperation, exchange knowledge, and create lasting partnerships that will drive positive change and accountability in the local communities wherein we are scaling our work.

The courtesy visits served as an important step in creating a shared vision for the future. By engaging with community leaders, Project Restore is not only ensuring that the project is locally driven but also that the work being done aligns with the aspirations of the community.
