BENIN CITY, EDO STATE. In furtherance of the implementation of our UNODC sponsored Project, ‘Reach One, Reach Many,’ Pathfinders recently conducted a comprehensive life skills training for 40 beneficiaries to equip them with essential skills to navigate life’s challenges. The program aimed to empower participants to take control of their lives, build confidence, and access resources for continued growth.
The program consisted of three sessions:
– Mental health and wellness
– Bookkeeping and financial literacy
– Personal hygiene and an in-depth introduction to our HERS Africa (https://www.hersafrica.com/) website, Africa’s first and only one stop resource hub for survivors of human trafficking. All beneficiaries were encouraged to download the website’s corresponding application to ensure convenient access on their mobile devices.
At the close of the event, beneficiaries received a transportation stipend and deodorants to promote personal hygiene and confidence. We are excited to see this program’s positive impact on their lives.
We are grateful to UNODC for its support in bringing this project to life. The opinions, findings, and conclusions stated herein are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s opinions and do not necessarily reflect those of UNODC or UNVTF.
