BENIN CITY, EDO STATE. On November 28, 2025, Project Restore reached an important milestone as humanitarian support was extended to a new cohort of 120 survivors in line with Project Restore (Year 3).
Each beneficiary received a thoughtfully assembled food and essential items package containing staple food items and household necessities, including rice, garri, brown beans, yams, spaghetti, tomato paste, seasoning cubes, curry, thyme, red and vegetable oil, soap, detergent, tissue, sanitary pads, full cream milk, and beverages. These items were selected to help ease daily burdens and promote dignity and stability during a critical period.
The distribution was met with visible excitement and joy from the beneficiaries, as the support arrived just in time for the holiday celebrations and the start of a new year. For many, the packages provided not only nourishment but also reassurance that they are seen, supported, and not alone during the festive season. To further ease the process, beneficiaries were also provided with transportation stipends to enable them safely convey their food packages back to their homes.
‘Project Restore’ is funded by a grant from the United States Department of State, to which we are grateful. The opinions, findings, and conclusions presented are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Department of State.
