In line with our core value of compassion, 45 beneficiaries of Project Restore (Year 2) were warmly welcomed in August to receive humanitarian support via a food drive. Each beneficiary received a generous care pack, thoughtfully curated with both nourishment and daily essentials. Items included rice, garri, brown beans, yam, spaghetti, tomato paste, crayfish, seasoning cubes, curry, thyme, red and vegetable oil, egusi, ogbono, and a wide range of hygiene productsm including toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, detergent, deodorant, shaving sticks, tissue, sanitary pads, baby diapers, full cream milk, and beverages.
These weren’t just relief items, they were a message of care, dignity, and solidarity. Many expressed deep gratitude, not just for the contents of the bags, but for the kindness and respect shown throughout the process.
The beneficiaries also received a transportation stipend to convey their goods home.
‘Project Restore’ is funded by a grant from the United States Department of State, to which we are grateful. The opinions, findings, and conclusions presented are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Department of State.
