BENIN CITY, EDO STATE. On November 28, 2025, Project Restore successfully organized a life skills training session focused on decision-making and coping with emotions for 120 survivors enrolled under Project Restore (Year 3).
The training provided a safe and supportive space for participants to reflect on their experiences, strengthen emotional awareness and build practical skills for navigating everyday choices. Through guided discussions and interactive exercises, survivors explored healthy ways to manage emotions, make informed decisions and respond to challenges with confidence and resilience.
Participants actively engaged throughout the session, sharing insights and learning from one another, while the facilitator, a professional counsellor, emphasized the importance of emotional regulation, self-awareness and positive decision-making as key components of long-term healing and independence.
Project Restore is funded by a grant from the United States Department of State, to which we are grateful. The opinions, findings, and conclusions presented are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Department of State.
