BENIN CITY, EDO STATE. We recently provided humanitarian support (essential food items) to 90 deserving beneficiaries as part of the commencement of Year 2 of our U.S. State Department supported ‘Project Restore.’ This initiative, which occurred over the holiday season, was designed not only to provide vital nourishment but also to empower recipients by offering them a transportation stipend, ensuring that they were able to conveniently convey their goods home without the added burden of travel costs.
The event was a tremendous success, with all 90 beneficiaries receiving food packages containing beans, rice, groundnut oil, palm oil, milk, beverages, detergent, bathing soap, washing soap, cornflakes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, salt, seasonings, spaghetti, tomato paste sachets and cassava (garri), all of which were tailored to meet their needs.
‘Project Restore’ is funded by a grant from the United States Department of State, to which we are grateful. The opinions, findings, and conclusions presented are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Department of State.
