MAY 10, 2023- THE FREEDOM PROJECT. On May 10th, 2023, a month after Pathfinders’ Business Academy (PBA) kicked off with 60 beneficiaries enrolled, the impact of the classes was obvious by the response of the students who participated in a business pitching session to close off their training. This closing session followed earlier classes wherein the beneficiaries learned interpersonal/personal skills, creative thinking, financial and risk management as part of the intense course curriculum.
Each beneficiary student had the opportunity to pitch their business idea to the PJI team by explaining a problem, solution, vision, their target audience, their competitive advantage and the financial projection for their respective businesses. Thereafter, they were each scored and received constructive feedback and encouragement on how to structure the businesses which Pathfinders will now be assisting them in creating. Cohort B beneficiaries will begin their training in June, following which they will also receive start-up capital.
