Rise 3 Project Beneficiaries Receive Essential Supplies from Pathfinders’ Food Drive

September 22, 2024

BENIN CITY, EDO STATE. On September 19, 2024, 12 Pathfinders beneficiaries of Project RISE 3 experienced a remarkable day as recipients of a project organized food drive. The essential supplies distributed to each beneficiary included litres of palm and vegetable oil, packets of cornflakes, packets of milk, milo drink, a toothbrush, a packet of toothpaste, beans, rice, garri, Viva (detergent), bathing soap bars, packets of spaghetti and tin/jollof tomatoes, sanitary pads, salt, ogbolo and equsi (to make soups), seasoning cubes, and a packet of shaving sticks. The beneficiaries also received a transportation stipend to assist in transporting their items home. These items will serve to support the project beneficiaries during Nigeria’s current economic downturn, which has seen the cost of basic goods rise astronomically. It will allow them, at least for the next few months, to focus on building a path toward sustainable economic independence without having to worry about their daily sustenance.

The Rise Project (3) is funded by a grant from the Operation Underground Railroad, to which we are grateful. The opinions, findings, and conclusions stated herein are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s and do not necessarily reflect those of Operation Underground Railroad.
