Project Restore (Year 2) Organizes Life Skills Training for an Additional 45 Survivors of Trafficking

August 5, 2025

Project Restore hosted a transformative life skills training for 45 of our beneficiaries, equipping them with the tools to make sound decisions in their businesses and personal lives. The session focused on breaking through mental barriers to critical thinking and offered a hands-on approach to decision-making. Participants were guided through real-life exercises that helped them identify limiting thought patterns, weigh their options, and make more intentional choices.

The impact of the training was immediate. You could see minds lighting up as clarity began to replace confusion. One beneficiary shared, “I’ve had these ideas, but didn’t know how to choose. This training helped me think clearly and confidently.”

The session didn’t just offer tools, it restored confidence and direction. Beneficiaries also explored how to integrate critical thinking into everyday choices, a timely intervention, as many were at the deliberation stage of selecting viable businesses that PJI will provide the start-up capital for.

At the end of the session, the beneficiaries received lunch.

‘Project Restore’ is funded by a grant from the United States Department of State, to which we are grateful. The opinions, findings, and conclusions presented are Pathfinders Justice Initiative’s and do not necessarily reflect the views of the United States Department of State.
