On June 16, 2014, PJI, in partnership with the #BringBackOurGirls NYC Coalition, held a rally at the United Nations and at the Nigerian Embassy to demand the return of approximately 300 school girls who were abducted from their school in Chibok, Nigeria, by an insurgent Islamic group on April 14, 2014. Participants petitioned the United Nations Security Council, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, the Nigerian government and its armed forces and the International Community to take additional action to #BringBackOurGirls.
