BENIN CITY, NIGERIA. Via our ‘Hearts of Hope’ Project, Pathfinders is proud to adopt and support the ICCF Missions (Internally Displaced Persons) Camp in Benin City, Nigeria. The Camp is currently hosting approximately 1,000 of Nigeria’s 3.3 million internally displaced children and adults. These, however, are survivors of the Boko Haram insurgency who were either orphaned by Boko Haram or escaped and were rescued. They arrived Benin City with just the clothes on their backs and have since received medical assistance and psycho-social support, as almost all had been terribly traumatized. Each carry a tragic story of pain and survival that reflects the resilience of the human spirit. Yet, hope triumphs!
Via donations received through our ‘Hearts of Hope’ Project, we have been able to make sizable financial donations to the Camp and are currently providing legal and other services to partner, support and empower these survivors. However, much help is still needed, as we all collectively partner with these survivors to level the playing field.
If you can help, please donate here on our website, specifically noting that your donation is to be directed to the “Hearts of Hope-Survivors” Project. 100% of all proceeds go to the Project.
