BENIN CITY, NIGERIA- August 11, 2017. PJI paid a courtesy visit to NAPTIP (Nigeria’s National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons) Benin Zonal Command to congratulate newly installed Zonal Commander, Barrister Nduka Nwanwene, on his recent appointment as Zonal Commander of NAPTIP’s busiest zonal command. Barrister Nwanwene reiterated NAPTIP’s willingness to continue to work in collaboration with PJI to target traffickers and to provide support to survivors of sex trafficking in the Edo State area. In addition, we were brought up to speed on NAPTIP’s recent campaigns throughout Nigeria, particularly in Edo State, which remains the hub of sex trafficking. We are thrilled to continue to serve as NAPTIP collaborators and our team of lawyers in Edo State remains prepared to provide support to Nigeria’s anti-trafficking agency.
