Hearts of Hope

Our Hearts of Hope Project, in collaboration with CGMI Global, brought hope and joy to the hearts of hundreds of internally displayed children in various IDP Camps in Yola, Adamawa State (Nigeria) over the Christmas holidays. Each “Heart” was comprised of much needed care items and a personalized message of hope from a child in the Southern part of Nigeria (which has not been significantly affected by the acts of terrorism and the armed conflict with Boko Haram which generated the displacement) to a child in North-East Nigeria who is dealing with the implications of displacement. Most of these children (estimates are in excess of 200,000 in 2014 alone) have been orphaned as a result of the ongoing insurgency. Pathfinders thanks all of our volunteers who offered their hearts in love, as well as their prayers for restoration and peace for Nigeria and her 3.3 million internally displaced people hoping to find light in darkness.
